Don't you just miss a real bagel smeared with some of your favorite fruit cream cheese? The 'Strawberry Basil Bagel' takes those same memories before keto and amplifies them in this simple and ultra-fancy rendition of a strawberry bagel. Basil might seem like an odd ingredient for something like this, however, it pairs perfectly with the strawberry! This is perfect for meal prep and suitable for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Remember to take some of that macerated strawberry syrup and pour it on top! Keep it toasty! Enjoy!

Ingredients
  cup powdered sweetener
 1 oz freeze-dried strawberries
-Toppings
 2 oz full-fat cream cheese
 3 medium strawberries, sliced thin and macerated
 1 tbsp granulated sweetener
 Basil, chopped, as needed

When preparing the strawberry bagel, be sure to add the powdered sweetener and freeze-dried strawberries to the food processor. Continue as directed for the finished bagel, but do not add the flake salt before placing in the oven.

While the bagels bake in the oven, add the sliced strawberries to a small bowl and cover with granulated erythritol or preferred sweetener. Let the strawberries stand at room temp the entire baking process to macerate.

Carefully slice a strawberry bagel in half with a bread knife. Spread the cream cheese on the bottom half and top with the macerated strawberries and chopped basil. Top and enjoy!
